We had Mr. Champness come to school for water testing for the salt watch he came in to talk about Salinity. Some people bought some water. I bought some down stream of the weir at the Wimmera the Salinity for mine was 750 EC.          By Daniel  

Mr Harvey Champness came to our class to tell us about our water.He was from Wimmera Catchment Authority. It was very good to find out how salty our water was. My water was not as salty as most of the other people. Mine was 1310. Ami had brought some water from Quantong and  it was very salty,it was 3900. Olivia brought her sample from Lower Norton. Her water was the second highest it was 2800. We all watched a DVD called Fresh and Salty. I can’t wait to see how much salt is in everyones’ samples. It will be very interesting!

We had Mr.Champness in our class to tell us about  the salt watch. He taught  us how to check the salinity in the water samples that we bought to school. He bought a movie for us to watch it was called Fresh & Salty. 

Mr Harvey Champness from Wimmera Catchment Authority tested my water sample  I collected from the river at Quantong.My reading was 3900ce from Ami.

Today Mr Harvy Champness from Wimmera Catchment Authority came to test water. He was doing salinity testing. I bought water from the Wimmera River at Lower Norton and its salt rate was 2800 ec. At the Wimmera River in Quantong it was 3900 ec which means it has lots of salt.We watched a movie called Fresh and Salty and it was about how trees and animals die from lots of salt. It also showed that it can be really salty down stream but up stream there was not much at all salt!!!
